Epiphone Casino Cherry Red
It's the Classic Casino But 10% Smaller
- I've recently traded in my Epiphone Dot for a lovely Epiphone Casino (449 RRP) in Cherry Red. I always liked the sound I got from the Dot, but the playability and the build quality wasn't the best so decided to upgrade. Considered a Sheraton, but was too heavy and bulky compared to the Casino. Love how light it is, the feel of the neck etc.
- Possibly the most famous Epiphone Guitar in music history, the Epiphone Casino thin-line, hollowbody archtop electric guitar is built with a traditional laminated Maple top, back and sides and solid Mahogany neck with authentic Epiphone Dog Ear P-90 Classic pickups to provide the legendary tone of the Casino made famous by The Beatles nearly 50 years ago.
- It's a beautiful instrument, but this 2014 in cherry red has a thiker D neck as my other 2012 Casino I already own in sunburst. I prefer the 2012 slimer C neck, it's more comfortable than this more Gibson like D neck. But if you don't care it's a great instrument.
Finish
{{activeFinish.Name}}The Epiphone Casino hollowbody electric guitar is an icon from sixties, but now later generations are discovering the allure of the Casino. The hollow maple body gives you a sound that's warm yet snappy, and the slim mahogany neck is comfortable for anything from riffing to rhythm. But the real magic happens in the iconic dog ear P-90 pickups. P-90 Single Coil Pickup
Legendary Tone
First introduced in the early 1950s, Gibson's legendary P90 single coil pickup produced a raw powerful tone that helped define the blues and rock and roll in their formative years. Today, the P90's traditional combination of high output and brilliant tone is still considered a favorite among many top musicians. Known by such familiar nicknames as the 'Soapbar' and the 'Cobalt,' the P90 still cuts through any type of music, all while displaying amazing tonal sensitivity for everything from blues and rock to mellow jazz riffs. It's perfect as a vintage replacement, and features vintage, braided two-conductor wiring. It's also fully wax potted to eliminate any chance of unwanted microphonic feedback.
